Safe Your Back With The Correct Postue

There is a saying-"stand straight or you are going to age before time". Well its easier said than done. The importance of a correct posture cannot be exaggerated as bad posture can lead to irreparable damage to the spine and can get one to extreme conditions to cervical pain. To prevent such pains you better start learning good postures.

Postures to keep in mind.

1.Make sure that your weight is evenly distributed on both your feet.
2.Proper alignment means having your ears loosely aligned with your shoulders and having those shoulders
   loosely aligned with your hips.

Get it right.
Stand straight looking at the mirrors and make sure the shoulders don't slouch, head isn't bent and ankles are perfectly aligned. Now look at your side ways and see if the S shape forms. Make sure the S is not rigid and doesn't cause stress in any part of the body.

Sit straight

While on a chair.
Sit on a high-back chair. Make sure that your knees are at hip-level.Push your hip back against the back of the chair. Keep shoulder parallel to your hips.

While at office
Make sure that your work station is at elbow level always. Tilt your computer screen upwards to avoid leaning while at work.

While driving
Push your hips at the base of the driving seat. Adjust your seat so you are able to hold the steering with your elbows only slightly bent.

While at bed
Always sleep on a firm mattress. Never sleep on your stomach. Use a pillow that is just thick enough to align your head to the rest of your body
